What is export packaging?

Export packaging is a system designed to protect, store and facilitate the transport of products destined for international markets. Its main function is to ensure that goods arrive at their destination in optimal conditions, overcoming the challenges associated with sea, air or land transport, such as climatic changes, rough handling, long distances and country-specific legal requirements.

What are the requirements for export packaging?

Export packaging must meet a number of requirements to ensure the protection of the product:

  • It must be perfectly adjusted to the size and shape of the product, avoiding internal movements that could damage it.
  • It must support the weight of the products and, if necessary, other stacked packaging.
  • It must be able to cushion the impacts, vibrations and temperature changes to which the goods will be subjected during their journey.
