DESCRIPTION OF MOLDED CORNER PROTECTORS
Range of molded corner protectors for the protection of 2 or 3-sided corners, manufactured with expanded polystyrene EPS foam, commonly known in Spain as Porexpan.
We have a wide range of models for 3-sided corners, e.g. for cabinets, as well as for 2-sided corners, e.g. for table tops, and 2-sided corners, e.g. for furniture side corners.
BENEFITS OF CORNER PROTECTORS
Our EPS expanded polystyrene molded corner pieces for packaging offer the advantage that their price/impact absorption ratio is the highest among all packaging materials.
Its low cost is due to the fact that it is manufactured with molds, already standardized for each model, which allows a mass production that lowers costs.
There are pyramid-shaped models, which can be fitted together and take up little space, both in the warehouse and in the packaging assembly area.
EPS molded corner protectors are a highly environmentally friendly material, as they are made from a high percentage of recycled material. In addition, it is only 2% plastic, the rest is air, which allows a high level of protection with a minimum use of plastic.
Its wide use makes it easier and easier to take it for recycling. Its recycling is very clean as it does not require water or high energy consumption, often it is only necessary to shred it and it can be used in e.g. insulation boards.
PROPERTIES OF CORNER PROTECTORS
It is not multi-impact, so its use will be restricted to logistics with little change of hands. 100% recyclable, reusable and non-polluting material.
It is a material that does not pick up humidity, nor does it affect or scratch the surfaces in contact. Normally the corner protectors are manufactured with a density of 20 kg/m3, although depending on its use it could be made in higher densities.
It is always white.
APPLICATIONS OF CORNER PROTECTORS
Its main use in packaging is in the furniture sector, but also in POP or displays and objects of regular shapes.
