Cross-linked Polyethylene Foam
Cross-linked polyethylene foams are a polyethylene-based foamed plastic material. For its foaming, either a chemical reaction is used with the help of catalysts, or the base of the product is exposed to radiation from high energy sources such as gamma rays. Generally, a family of plastic foams or polyethylene foams is obtained, small and closed cell with good resistance to temperature and ultraviolet rays, but hardly recyclable.

TECHNICAL DATA POLYETHYLENE FOAM
- Suitable for sealing applications.
- Production of thermoformed parts (both pressure and vacuum).
- Manufacture of weatherstripping and self-adhesive gaskets.
- The applications of these cross-linked polyethylene foams are mainly aimed at the industrial, construction and automotive sectors.
- The possibility of being manufactured in different colors, the application of self-adhesives (facilitating its placement) and its low toxicity make it suitable for the manufacture of parts for the leisure, toy, promotion, etc. sectors.
- Due to their texture and elasticity, cross-linked polyethylene foams are also used in the fields of medicine, electronics, sports, industrial seals, cosmetics, etc.
- Polyethylene foams are easy to transform, so that they can be sandwiched together and other materials such as plastics, fabrics, raffia, aluminum, tacas, etc. can be applied to them.
